Honorary doctorate recognitions awarded through the Institute are ceremonial and honorary distinctions. These recognitions are granted based on an individual’s life achievements, leadership, service, influence, and societal contributions and are not equivalent to earned academic degrees obtained through a traditional accredited academic curriculum unless specifically stated otherwise.

Recipients recognized through honorary programs are encouraged to use honorary titles respectfully, ethically, and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, professional, and licensing regulations.
